Hi scrappy people,
I'm back with a new, fun and bright layout for you.
For this layout, I wanted to use the Wild Child collection, especially the boy part, since I only used it once since I got it in January. But of course, I also always need my pinks and girly colors, so I chose to combine it with the girl part of the collection as well as the Confetti Wishes collection.
To start, I chose a cutfile from Paige Evans that I thought would match the collections really well. I used this star that says "Shine bright". I didn't want to back the cutfile in the traditional way with only one or two patterned papers, because it wouldn't have stood out enough for me. So I decided to not only back the inside of the star, but also to use patterend papers all around the star in a rainbow order. I mainly used papers form the mentioned collections, only the purple one is from Summer Lights.
When I had all my patterned papers chosen and cut out, I used some sprays and inks in the same colors to make splatters all over my white paper.
Then I created the star, stitching the words with white thread and placing it on my page. I matted my picture with two pink patterned papers ans placed it next to the star.
To decorate the page, I wanted to place the embellishments in a rainbow order also. So I started with pink on the top left corner to purple on the bottom right corner.
I punched out some stars in different sizes, using the same patterned papers as for the star and then I used a bunch of embellishments from the two collections: cardstock stickers and ephemera from Wild Child and a sticker from Confetti Wishes.
I also did what I like to do most on my layouts. I cut off the edges of my white sheet of paper, placed it on a pink patterned paper and stitched around it. This creates a really cute border that I make on most of layouts. I love the final touch it gives :)
I really hope you enjoyed this, thank you for being here. :)
See you soon!
