Hi scrappy friends,
it's Lisa back on the blog today sharing a super fun and colorful october layout, created with the new Paige Evans Whimsical collection.
I had this picture from where I visited a small pumpkin patch here in Luxembourg. Since it was the first time I went to buy pumpkins at a farmer's, I was very excited and wanted to take some pictures with all the pumpkins on it... haha :) I was so happy, let me tell you!
I went through Paige's cutfiles and also through some cutfiles that I had favorited on Etsy and I thought that the pumpkin and the sugar skull were the perfect match. I love sugar skulls... I even have one tattooed on my arm... hehe ;)
So to start, I backed the cutfiles using different patterned papers from the Whimsical collection. I love how the colors are so bright and that there are beautiful papers with patterns, but also plain ones.
I took a white page, cut off a bit of the edges and placed it on one of the patterned papers. Then I stitched around the edges with gold thread. I used some gold mist to make splatters all over the page.
I used a few patterned papers to matte my picture and then I placed the cutfiles and the picture on my layout, using fun foam, to make them stand out and create dimension.
To finish, I embellished with some flowers I cut out from the flower patterned paper and I used some thickers from the Pink-me-up collection.
I love how this page turned out, it's totally "Lisa"!! :)
Thank you for stopping by!
It sure is 'totally Lisa' ! Love all the colour and how you set your backed cut-files off the edge of the page. That's an awesome look :D Cheers!
