Do you remember the super cute Valentine's collection from last year, called Lots of Love? If not, here's a little refresher... I created this heart layout using the fun papers and embellishments from the collection and I love how it turned out.
As usual, when I want to decide what I want to make and how my layout should look, I go through the papers and embellishments. Lately, I've really liked fussy-cutting out the little items from the patterned papers. This time, I decided to cut out a LOT of little flowers from the floral patterned paper called Love you Bunches.
After cutting all of the flowers, I cut out a heart from the Love is in the Air paper. I adhered it to a white sheet of paper using foam squares and then I started placing my flowers. Some of them I adhered behind the heart, others directly on top and the rest I adhered using foam squares.
Then I went through the other embellishments to find more things to add.
I used a photo I took a few years ago when I met some friends in Brussels. I matted it with two pieces of patterned paper that I distressed and placed it on the layout, overlapping the heart.
I then added stickers, enamel shapes, Doodle pops and puffy hearts, also overlapping the photo to continue the heart shape.
For my title, I used a die cut from the ChitChat pack and the new Alphabet soup stickers.
Since my page was pretty white, I wanted to add some color with a border. I ripped 1/4 inch stripes of the paper from all of the sides and then adhered it to the same paper I used to cut out the big heart. I also added a doodly border with a black pen and some gold splatters.
On the last picture you can really see how much dimension I created with the different layers and I really love that effect.
Thank you for checking in and see you soon.
