In December me and my girlfriends did a little shooting session and one of my friends brought this huge teddy bear. I took some pictures with it and I think they turned out so cute and dreamy. The new Little Adventurer collection was perfect to document it.

To start I created this adorable little bear using the paper-piecing and hand-stitching techniques. I drew the bear, cut out the different pieces, traced around those on different patterned papers and cut them out again. Then I adhered them on a pink patterned paper,  stitched around some parts with matching thread and cut it out leaving this pink border.

For my background, I took a 12x12 sheet of white paper and did some mixed media on it that would look like a kind of halo behind the bear. Then I splattered a lot of gold and pink paint all over the page. When everything was dry, I placed the bear on the page and adhered it with craft foam to make it more dimensional.

I wanted the bear to wear a flower crown, So I used some flower stickers but also cut a few out of the patterned papers. I added them to the head, along with some wood veneer stars that I painted white. I also gave the bear a little flower to hold in its hand.

For my title, I used different materials. I used some of the alpha thickers, a word thicker that I cut apart, some hand-cut letters and some gold glitter letters I fussy-cut out of the speciality paper included in the collection. I love mixing alphas and fonts, it always look super fun! :)

it's Lisa back on the blog today, sharing a layout I made using the brand new Paige Evans collection called Horizon. I really love every Paige collection, but I have to admit, with Oh my Heart, this is my favorite collection of them all. :)

Here is what I created...

I wanted to make a layout where I could showcase a lot of those beautiful patterned papers in rainbow colors. So I chose one of Paige newest cutfiles where I could back each letter with a different patterned paper. I used papers with very small patterns that can almost count as solids.

I started by tracing each letter on the papers and cut them out. I didn't want to back the cutfile in the usual way though, I wanted the cutfile to sit on the letters a little crooked. So I attached the letters to another one of the patterned papers and the I placed the cutfile on top. I stitched over each letter of the cutfile with color matching thread to give more interest.

Haha... don't look at some letters too closely, the stitching machine is a bit complicated and not that performant and I'm really not the best at machine stitching... ;) I don't think it matters though, I love that it's not really perfect.

I also used a 3d flower cutfile from Paige to create some flowers with matching colors. I placed the flowers next to the letters with the same color.

I also added some ephemera flowers next the 3D ones. The flowers of this collection are EXACTLY how I love them... I will need at least 20 packs of ephemera... :)

I also wanted to add leaves to the flowers, but using more patterns and colors would've been too much. So I cut them out of white paper and traced around them with a fine gold pen. Then I added them to some of the bigger flowers. I matted my pictures on some scraps of paper and added them too.

Since you couldn't see the word of the cutfile 'Fantastic' very good anymore, I wanted to include it again. I hand-cut out letters from matching patterned papers, adhered them to white paper and cut the word out, leaving a white border. Then I adhered it to the layout, adding also the word 'women' with tiny foam thickers.

To frame the layout, I used a few of the washi tapes from the collection. I ripped random pieces of them and adhered them to the borders of the page.

Finally, I added some white splatters and I was done!

A few weeks ago, we got the brand new Pink Paislee collection called 'Little Adventurer'. It's a baby collection and has a boy part and a girl part. The designs and elements are really cute and I was really looking forward to start working with it. Since I don't have kids though, it'll be a bit challenging to find the right pictures to go with it. I can always use all the pictures of my cat, haha! :)

Here I didn't use a picture of my cat though, I used a picture of me and two of my friends, we took a month ago. The picture has a lot of white and pink in it and is really cute, so I thought it'd be a perfect match.

After looking for some inspirations, I decided to create a cute little castle made out of patterned papers.

I chose some papers and started cutting out the different shapes I needed to make the castle.

When I had all my pieces, I started adhering them onto the page. To make the castle stand out more, I used a white and grey pen to trace around all of the elements. then I cut off the edges of my page and adhered it to a royal blue patterned paper to create a frame around the layout. You know me... I always need my frames, haha... :)

I really love the flowers in this collection. So I used the paper with the flowers to cut out a whole bunch of them and placed them around the page.

As my title, I used the thickers from the collection and wrote: 'Once upon a time...'

To finish the layout, I splattered some gold and blue paint all around it. :)

When the machine was done cutting the different shapes, I started adhering the shapes unto the page. To help me do this, I used the paper the shapes were cut out of, as a stencil.

To embellish and make the wreath look more full and rounder, I used some rub-ons, enamel shapes, cardstock stickers, chipboard stickers and punched-out hearts.

A few weeks ago, I was scrolling through Pinterest, looking at all sorts of things, when this layout by Paige Evans appeared on my screen.

I'm sure I'v seen it before of course but in that moment I was so amazed by it, I loved it so much that I saved it on my phone and decided that I would scraplift it.

So here's my version of it...

Paige used a patterned paper with this ombre stripe pattern. I didn't want to use the same one and of course I wanted some pinks in my background. So I chose 5 different patterned papers, cut them into 2,4x12 strips and adhered them to my 12x12 sheet.

Then I took my white paint marker and splattered some white paint on the whole background.

To write my message/title, I used a lot of papers from the Whimsical collection. First, I cut out rectangles and placed them on the different strips to see in which order I wanted the colors and patters to go. Then I hand-cut the letters out of them and adhered them on the background.

For my pictures, I used a couple I took at Creativation a week before. There's one of me with Paige and the other one shows Missy, Enza, Paige and me. I had such a great time there!!! :)

I matted the photos on some scraps of patterned papers and placed them on the layout.

I used some of Paige's mini foam thickers from the Whimsical collection to write "Creativation 2019" beneath one of the pictures and then I used a whole lot of different embellishments to decorate the page. I took some puffy stickers, some chipboard and cardstock stickers and some ephemera pieces and placed them on or around the letters.

I really love how it turned out! :)

today I'm sharing this fun wintery layout.

Believe it or not, this layout wasn't inspired by the picture... :) Haha... in fact, I made this layout and waited for two weeks to finish it, because I didn't have the right picture to go with it. Then, one day, we had this presentation with our kids from kindergarten and it snowed right that day! YAY! So me and my colleagues saw this snowman and thought it would make the perfect picture. It was only when I got home that I realized that it matched so good with the layout. The snow disappeared the day after and it didn't snow since, so I'd say, heaven knew exactly what I knew to complete this layout! :)

To start, I chose a wintery color palette. I went through all of the Whimsical, Turn the page and Pick-me-up papers and chose the ones I thought would match perfectly for this cool winter layout.

I cut squares that had approximately the same size and started placing them on my white 12x12 sheet of cardstock. When I had all my papers adhered, I die-cut snowflakes, hand-cut some other snowflakes and some letters to write "FaLaLa" and punched out stars. I then placed one item in every square paying attention to place them on a color that would make them stand out. Then I stitched in between and around all the lines, using different threads and stitching styles. What I really like is, that it doesn't look perfect and tidy at all, it makes the whole thing really cute. Finally, I splattered some white paint all over it.

I then created this fun snowman by paper-piecing him together using different patterned papers. I hand-stitched around the snowman with matching threads and cut him out leaving a white border. I placed him on my fun background and started embellishing.

I used the Whimsical chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, cardstock stickers and ephemera to place on the snowman an on the squares, trying to color-match them.

Then I stopped and waited two weeks to finally have the perfect picture... :)

I matted the picture on two patterned papers, used some more ephemera flowers around it and on the snowman and I was done! :)

I wanted to scrap some pictures I had taken last year and still had laying around in my scrap room. I took the pictures in the snow, so I wanted a snowy layout :)

To start, I chose two cutfiles from Paige Evans I found in the Silhouette store (281821 and 282821). It's a winter town scene and a snowflake star. I cut the scene out of white paper and backed it with different patternd papers from the Whimsical collection. For the stars, I cut them out of different patterned papers, then I adhered them on another piece of paper and I hand-cut them out, leaving a border, so that every star would have two colors.

I also used a pink glitter paper from my stash to back the parts of the houses covered in snow and to punch out a few little stars that I adhered to the middle of every star snowflake.

When I had all of my pieces, I placed them on my white 12x12 white cardstock in a way I liked and looked balanced to me.

I wanted the stars to peak out behind the clouds or cover some of them, so I hand-cut out some clouds and I stitched around them with white thread. I also placed them on my layout. When everything was how I wanted, I started adhering everything down, using liquid glue for some items and foam squares for others, creating dimension.

I backed my three little pictures on some pieces of patterned paper and adhered them on the layout too.

For my title, I looked for a cute snowflake quote on Pinterest. I found this one that says: "Snowflakes are kisses from heaven". I wrote the word "kisses" on one of my favorite patterned papers from the Whimsical collection and then I cut it out. I placed it on another piece of paper and cut it out again. For the rest of the quote, I used the mini foam thickers from the Whimsical collection.

I love how it turned out! :)

To finish the layout, I stitched some french knots on the page to create tiny snowflakes. I also embellished some more, using rub-ons, stickers and ephemera from the Wild Child collection.

Hi scrappy friends, today I'm sharing one of my favorite layouts I ever made for Pink Paislee. When I look at it, it makes me so happy... ;)

When I sat at my desk to start a new layout, I had no idea what was going ti happen. Usually I have an idea or a cutfile I want to use, but here, I had nothing at all. So I just sat down and went through all the Whimsical stuff hoping that something would catch my eye and give me a fun idea. And it did...

I decided to use the 2x2 paper pads in a grid design. It's not really a new idea, so in some way, I scraplifted myself in this layout, because I already made a layout like this with the Turn the Page collection and the Pick-me-up collection.

But this time, I wanted to create a rainbow design with the colors of the papers. So first, I went through the 2x2 paper pads and chose all the ones I thought I could use. I arranged them on my desk to see how many squares of what colors were missing. Then I went through my patterned papers and cut little squares from different colors.

When I had my 25 squares arranged and ready, I distressed all the edges with my scissors. Then I chose 2 squares of each row and sewed the borders on half of them and some zig-zags on the other half.

Then I adhered all the squares, using thick foam squares to make all of them pop off the page. Of course, I had to have my border around the page and for that I used the hexagon paper.

I fussy-cut a bunch of flowers from the beautiful floral paper, used some ephemera florals and also some stickers and created flower clusters on each row, matching the colors. I also added a matching cloud to every row, some hearts and word stickers.

When I started the layout and had all my squares stuck down, I really wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but at this point, I was like: Oh, yes!!! :)

The final touch that made me REALLY love the layout was the title. I didn't want to use the chipboard thickers from the collection because I thought they would break the structured style of this layout and the mini foam thickers were too small on their own. So I decided to hand-cut my own letters to write a title. I couldn't adhere them to the squares as is though, because they wouldn't have popped out the page. So I attached them to some white scrap of paper first and cut out around them, leaving a white border. Then I placed my title below the picture. Some white splatters later, I was done! :)

I'm back on the blog sharing this fun layout with you.

When we got all the products from the Whimsical collection, this speciality paper immediately caught my eye. I love that it was included in the collection, since it was very different from what we usually get and since it was so interesting to try to figure out how to use it.

Of course, you can use it as is and there are a lot of people who did this and the layouts turned out beautifully, but in my head, I already had the idea to cut up the flowers and try to create my own bouquet.

So to start, I chose a colorful paper from the collection that I would use to back the speciality sheet. With that paper, all the parts would have different colors without me having to chose different papers and backing every piece on its own. When everything was adhered, I cut out all the pieces leaving a thick border.

When I had all my pieces, I wanted to add some details. So I went into my stash of thread and stitched through the middle of the leaves and did a bunch of little french knots in the middle of the flowers. I think that this turned out so cute and it added so much to those flowers and leaves.

As a background, I chose this suuuuper adorable mini heart paper. This was my favorite paper from the beginning and I absolutely wanted to use it as a background, it's so pretty!!

I chose a picture I took in vacation last June, matted it with some scraps of patterned paper and placed it on the layout. Then I gathered all the flowers and leaves between the bottom right side of the page and the picture.

As a title, I used an ephemera piece and the thickers from the collection. Then I splattered some gold color shine and I was done! :)
