Wild Heart Mini Album
Saturday, May 26, 2018
Hi lovely friends,
I'm back with a very fun project. This month I'm working with the super cool Wild Heart collection from Crate Paper and I made a mini album.
So to start I chose all the big tags and other big pieces that were included in the ephemera pack. I also cut a piece out from the cutapart patterned paper.
Then I used my new We R Memory keepers crop-a-dile eyelet puncher to punch an eyelet through every piece of paper.
There were also three frames in the ephemera pack. I used them to make shaker pockets, using sequins from Neat & Tangled.
I put all the pieces together with a ring and started decorating the album. I used photos from some of my vacations in Gran Canaria and used all the good stuff from the collection. Chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers, puffy stickers, epoxy paper clips and clear foil stickers. I created three paper pearls, using papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I threaded them together and added some Maggie Holmes mini tassels to make a super cute hanging embellishment that I added to the ring.
I really love making mini albums, because it always looks fun and you get to use a lot of your embellishments.
I hope you like it too. You can watch the process video on YouTube here:
HUGS AND KISSES layout for Pink and Paper
Monday, May 14, 2018
Hi friends, it's Lisa back on the blog today :)
Last time, I used the boy part of the cute Pebbles Night Night collection to make my layout. This time, I'm using the girl part.
Again, I wanted to make a layout that wasn't in the theme of this collection at all. The Night Night collection is a baby collection, but since I don't have baby photos to scrap, I used the elements of the collection that weren't screaming 'baby':)
So, as you can see, you can easily use baby collections for totally different layouts.
To start, I did a little bit of mixed media on the background, using distress oxides. I thinned them out whit white ink spray and water and smooshed them on the paper with a piece of plastic packaging.
Then I made gold, pink and teal splatters all around the page.
I took four little photos of myself, that I backed on some of the patterned papers from the collection.
Then I used a lot of embellishments to scatter all around... Cardboard stickers, puffy stickers, ephemera and gold thickers.
I attached some of the embellishments directly on the page and some of them I adhered with foam squares, to make them pop.
I really love how the page turned out. I was really easy to make and as you can see, not baby related at all. I love all the cute designs of this collection and the soft pastel colors.
Hope to see you here again, thank you so much for stopping by today :)
ALL THE THINGS I LOVE layout for InTheScrap

Hi friends,
I'm back on the In The Scrap blog sharing this layout with you,
For some of the tiny stars, I punched out some stars with a punch using the gold and green glitter papers from Shimelle. This time, I didn't put the stars behind the cutfile, I stuck them right on the cutfile, again not trying to place them exactly straight.
For the middle sized stars, I took my piercing needle, I pierced some holes and I stitched the inside of each star using metallic thread.
Then I used a lot of embellishments from Shimelle's Box of crayons and Dear Lizzy's Stay Colorful collections and the Shimelle sticker book. I used stickers, puffy stickers and some pieces of ephemera.
I matted my photo on some pieces of scrap and placed it on the right side of the layout, overlapping the cutfile a little bit.
For my title, I used three banners from Shimelle and I used the alpha stickers from the same collection. I love to mix all the letters and colors, it gives a really cool look.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post.

I'm back on the In The Scrap blog sharing this layout with you,
I got the idea of making this layout, when I saw one of Paige Evans' new cutfiles. It's a star cutfile and I really love all the different sizes of the stars, creating a super cool frame.
I wanted to back it like I've done a lot of times before, but I didn't want to back them all, nor did I want to 'decorate' each star in the same way.
So I started to cut out big stars from different papers from the Shimelle Box of Crayons collection and from the Paige Evans Oh my heart collection. I backed all the big starts but I didn't adhered the stars exactly behind the cutfile. I turned them a bit to make the edges peek out.
For the middle sized stars, I took my piercing needle, I pierced some holes and I stitched the inside of each star using metallic thread.
