Glowing smiles layout for Pink Paislee

Hi guys,
it's Lisa back on the blog and today I'm sharing a layout that I'm really excited about... because it's sooo pretty and I'm really proud of it:)

I really could look at it all day... the colors make my heart so happy! :)
When I sat down to make this layout, I had absolutely no idea where I was going to go with it... Normally, I already have a little idea what I want to make or if I want to use a cutfile or make a paper-pieced cutie. Here I just sat down and started looking at the new products I just had gotten from Pink Paislee, which were the project paper pad and the 2x2 paper pads. I decided to make something with the project pad... I looked at the photo on the cover and saw a layout by Paige where she had cut out shapes out of this beautiful patterned paper.

I then knew I wanted to create something with it too. My first idea was to make a tree, where the shapes would be leaves falling off the branches. But then I thought it would be cool to regroup all the pieces from the same color families and make flowers of different colors. So I went with that idea. I wanted to make six flowers and I needed 12 petals for each flower, so I had to cut into a second sheet of that same paper to have enough petals.
For the middle part of the flower, I created some 3D flowers using a Paige Evans cutfile (267510).
Flowers, flowers and more flowers. You can’t go wrong when creating huge colorful flowers on a layout. This is an easy game when you get to chose from all the beautiful patterned papers from the @horizon collection by @paigetaylorevans @pinkpaislee. @lisafonseca1985 created some fantastic flowers using paper number 12 for the petals and some 3D cutfiles to create some dimension. #lisafonseca #pinkpaislee #paigeevans #horizon
When I had all my flowers done, I looked for a background paper... which really didn't take very long, because I already had one in mind... probably one of my top 3 papers from the collection. I love the colors and the style of that paper... just perfect!

Since I wanted to lay all my flowers on that paper and they already had a lot of color, I took some gesso and made similar swatches of white in some places of the sheet to tone it down a bit.

As almost always, I cut off the edges of the paper, adhered it to a second patterned paper to create a border and then stitched around it.

I matted my picture on some scraps of paper. I always do that to frame my pictures and really love it.
When I had my picture and my flowers ready, I started placing everything on my paper. I loved how it looked, the flowers are such a statement piece. I thought that they needed some leaves though. So I hand-cut some out of a green patterned paper and drew some white details on it. I arranged them around the flowers the way I liked it.

I added some embellishments around the photo, ephemera and chipboard flowers. I could use those on every layout :)
As my title, I used some gold alpha stickers from the project paper pad and some tiny foam Thickers from the Pick-me-up collection.
Glowing 1
I added some splatter of gold color shine and I was done! I really hope you like it as much as I do!
Thank you so much for being here! :)
